Abstract

|
Thirty strains of salmonella and 25 of shigella were isolated from patients visited Kyungpook National University Hospital and Taegu Presbyterian Hospital from April through September of 1971, and their biological as well as serological characteristics were studied.
All strains of salmonella were typed as S. typhi. Among 25 strains of shigella, 20 were classified as Sh. flexneri 2a, 3 as Sh. flexneri 1b, one as Sh. flexneri Sc, and one as Sh. sonnei.
